Compliance with Hungarian law
We handle your data in accordance with the relevant Hungarian regulations, including but not limited to the Act CXII of 2011 on information self-determination and freedom of information.
The data handling is registered by the National Office of Data Protection and Freedom of Information (in Hungarian: Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információsszabadság Hatóság) under the registration number.

We handle your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy that you accept by signing up for the use of Nostromo’s Service. We have, to the best of our capabilities, made all the necessary technical arrangements to securely handle your personal data.
Nostromo’s data handling is happening on a voluntary basis however it might occur that secure data handling, storage, and transmission is regulated by the law. If that happens, we will personally notify you. Please bear in mind that if you use someone else's personal data in Nostromo, you do need to obtain their consent.
Information we collect
Information provided by you during registration
When you sign up for Nostromo, we collect personal information like your email address and password. We may also receive information that you voluntarily add to your profile, such as your name and profile picture.
If you connect to Nostromo using your Google accounts, you authorise us to collect information available through your Google accounts such as your name and profile picture. We use this information only to log you into our Service. We do not use this information for any other purposes.
Information collected automatically
We use web analytics service providers to help us analyse how you use our site. Nostromo has an account at Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Intercom and Hotjar and we comply with each of these application’s Terms of Service. We are not using any of these third-party services to track, collect or upload any data that personally identifies you for any profiling purposes.
Storing your Personal Information
Nostromo is based in Europe; however, we use Amazon Web Services to store your data and content. Nostromo does comply with European laws when we collect, save or use your data, however, to provide you the Service we need to transfer your data to the United States.
Please bear in mind that Amazon Web Service has certified that they adhere to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles that has been agreed upon between the United States and the EU. This means that any personal data that has been transferred to the United States is being protected by the same principles as in the EU, hence the level of protection is the same as in the EU.

Notifications from us
Slack notification
Nostromo can be integrated into Slack so you can track your Nostromo tasks in various Slack channels. If you combine the two systems, you allow other Slack users to see the content you record under a Nostromo task. Nostromo is not taking any responsibility for this integration and who is going to have access to the content or personal data you share on Slack channels through Nostromo tasks.
Email notifications
You understand and agree we might send you emails once in a while including service announcements, administrative messages, etc. These emails are considered part of our Service, and You will not be able to opt out of receiving them.
Don’t worry about receiving too many spams. You are indeed able to opt out of any marketing related emails.
Cookies
Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your device when you visit a website. Cookies do lots of different jobs, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improve the user experience. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize your device and enhance your experience while using our Service.
We only really use Cookies to store your session id so when you return to Nostromo you don’t have to sign in all the time. Some other things we use are cookie-like javascript to run our third-party services such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar, and Intercom.
Our third parties, such as Facebook, might use web beacons to understand user behavior. Web beacons are similar to cookies, but you can’t control them through your browser.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
Here at Nostromo, we are dedicated to serving your and the community’s need which might be changing from time to time. We are evolving both as human beings and as a team hence our product develops too. With that, every once in awhile we need to change the legal things as well.
We reserve the right to make changes to the Contracts. Please revisit this page from time to time to check out any updates. When we make any material changes to the Contracts, we will make sure to notify you via email. By continuing to use Nostromo’s Service after informing you about the changes, you are expressing and acknowledging your acceptance of the changes. In case you don’t agree with the changes, please kindly unsubscribe from our Service.
Jurisdiction and Applicable Law
The Contracts are subject to the laws of Hungary.
n case any dispute arises between You and Nostromo, we are keen to solve it most calmly by sitting down and talking to each other as Partners. Hence we suggest that any claim or dispute relating to the Contracts, or any other matters, arguments, or claims between them, shall be subject to nonbinding mediation within 30 days of any party making a request to the other by letter. Any such negotiation will be held in Hungary by a mutually agreed mediator.
